Dr. Luo, our dedicated veterinarian, was born in Suriname and has always had a profound passion for animal care. She graduated from South China Agricultural University in 2016, earning her degree in veterinary medicine with high honors.

After completing her studies, Dr. Luo joined Dierenpoli Noord, where she gained 7.5 years of invaluable experience treating dogs and cats. She developed a reputation for her meticulous approach.

Eight Tails Dog and Cat Clinic opened its doors on April 2, 2024. Despite being a new clinic, we bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to providing top-notch veterinary care. Our team currently consists of Dr. Luo and her assistant, allowing us to offer personalized and attentive care to each of our patients.
The Inspiration Behind Our Name
The name “Eight Tails” holds special significance. In Chinese culture, the number 8 is considered extremely lucky. While brainstorming names, “8 paws” seemed too common and “8 claws” sounded intimidating. “8 tails” was the perfect choice, capturing both a sense of uniqueness and a touch of personal significance for Dr. Luo, who is also an anime enthusiast and a fan of a character known as “Eight Tails.”
We are proud to be one of the first veterinary clinics in Suriname to offer online appointment bookings. By using our convenient online booking system, we aim to significantly reduce long wait times, which are common in our country.
